FAQ
What’s the process for receiving Community Nursing supports from Helping Solutions?
Fill out our referral form and select ‘Community Nursing’, and our team will be in touch to discussion your individual needs and explore options.
What’s the difference between Community Nursing and High Care?
Our Community Nursing team can support any routine medical needs, and even train support workers to deliver specific services. High Care provides regular, high-level support for more complex needs.
How will my care plan be developed, and can I be involved in the process?
All care plans are developed by one of our Registered Nurses, who will come out and do a visit with the participant and/or with their family members in order to collect and develop the correct and relevant information, and ensure involvement.
Can I choose which staff members provide my care?
Yes, you can choose which nurse carries out your care.
How quickly can services begin after I sign up?
Helping Solutions have a very quick turnaround period for community and in home supports. If all documentation and information is available, we can have supports in place within 7-10 days.
Accommodation is a slightly longer period of time as we have to ensure we have the vacancy.
Am I eligible for Community Nursing?
Having an NDIS Plan is a required pre-requisite to accessing Helping Solutions supports and services, including Community Nursing.
What if I’m already receiving supports from Helping Solutions or other providers?
You can still apply for Community Nursing, but we encourage you to discuss this with your Support Coordinator or a trusted family member to ensure you’re maximising the supports in your plan.
How can I provide feedback or raise concerns about my care?
Feedback is very important to us, and we want our participants to feel that they can raise any concerns at any time. If you have feedback or concerns to share, please complete our Feedback and Complaints Form.
