Regional WA – Support at Home Program

Stay on country, in community, and in the comfort of your own home.

We understand there’s an unmet need in our regions for aged care at home, and that support needs in the regions differ from those in metro areas.

That’s why we’re committed to offering flexible, support at home tailored to your needs in regions such as Mid-west (Geraldton), Peel (Mandurah) and Great Southern (Albany).

Our regional team are happy and willing to support anybody wanting to remain in the comfort of their own home who needs support, and we offer the same high standard of care in Perth and Melbourne across regional WA, so no one misses out.

in-home-care Helping Solutions OSAN Ability

Clinical care needs:

home-care - aged care - Support at Home Program - Helping Solutions

Our entire team is experienced in supporting older people with routine medical and clinical care needs, as well as high care needs.

Additionally, our carers trained by our highly experienced, in-house Registered Nursing Team and must pass at least 13 medical competency assessments before they can assist with health needs.

From the safe manual handling to administration of medication, to knowing how to assist with more advanced medical conditions like dementia, dysphagia and palliative care needs, our team provides personalised and tailored support that ensures the care needs of each individual.

If you’re coming home from hospital, we’ll even work with you and your family to make the move easy and safe, helping you regain independence.

CALD‑tailored home care

With a frontline team that represents a wide range of cultural backgrounds, we understand that care is personal and deeply connected to culture and tradition.

Our CALD‑tailored home care services ensure that you truly feel at home, surrounded by carers who speak your native language, can help prepare your traditional cuisine, and understand your way of doing things in the home and community.

In regional areas we can assist you with:

Assistance with daily living or everyday needs such as domestic assistance.

Assistance with social and community participation where one of our friendly support workers will help you to get out and about in your community

Assistance with connecting to allied mental health professionals such as counsellors, psychologists, or psychiatrists

Development and training to increase your skills so you can participate in community, social and recreational activities

Regional carer availability

We understand that one of the biggest challenges regional communities face is limited access to providers and service options (especially for complex care needs).

That’s why we’ve developed a model to send our carers to these communities for set durations, providing access to a regular, ongoing rotation of familiar care workers.

Plus, our entire team of carers receive upskill training in 13 nursing competencies (including but not limited to epilepsy, dementia, wound care, dysphagia, complex bowel care and more).

So, if you need support (even for a complex care need) and live in one of the smaller towns in the surrounds of the Mid-west, Peel or Great Southern regions, give us a call and we’ll endeavour to assign a carer for you in that area.
