Respite care & accommodation

What is respite care?

Respite care is a coordinated, temporary break for both carers and the person they are caring for. Helping Solutions provides comfortable accommodation and facilities as well as community access and assistance with daily living to maintain the best quality of life for any person that comes into our care.

Helping Solutions has a professional team of support workers who are caring and qualified to help relieve the duties of carers for that well needed break. Helping Solutions puts the choice and control into your hands, by helping you to select supports that are right for you. We have an inclusive team with a diverse range of interests, experience and background to ensure that you can have choice of the supports that are the best fit.

We can also arrange trial meetings to ensure that the support personnel and the person in care are a good match.

Although the Australian government subsidises Respite care, this is not done through the Medicare system.

The discounted rates offered by service providers are afforded by government subsidies. As a registered NDIS provider, Helping Solutions can offer affordable Respite care services with assistance from government funding.

If you care for someone with a disability over the age of 18 and under the age of 65 their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding may cover Respite Care services. Discuss this with your Plan manager or if you are self-managed, call the NDIS helpline 1800 800 110 to see if they are eligible for these services.

Helping Solutions is a registered NDIS provider and we also have a team of clinical nurses to assist with supporting any person in care with their clinical needs while in Respite care.

Most of our respite services in Perth includes temporary accommodation which we organise for you as well as the care services we provide.

However, when a carer is going away and requires support to live-in with the person in need of care, we can also offer in home respite care.
