Neurodiversi-TEA Vol 2 – Networking Event Recap

Neurodiversi-TEA Vol 2 - Helping Solutions - South Perth

Thursday, 3rd April was our second ever Neurodiversi-TEA event! This event series is a lighthearted networking event for individuals working in the Perth disability or healthcare sector, who feel awkward at networking events.

To mark World Autism Understanding Day, our focus this time around was on Autism.

Neurodiversi-TEA Vol 2 - Helping Solutions - South Perth

A big thank you to Dr Mohammad Jehangir from Smart Paeds who took time out of his busy schedule to come and speak on neurodiversity and Autism.

His insights sparked an engaging group discussion that resonated with many attendees in the room.

Dr Mohammad delivered valuable insights into the increase of Autism in individuals, the contributing factors that are being discovered, and what our industry can be doing to bring more awareness and education to families of those who have not yet been diagnosed.

We are very thankful for his time and for all the wisdom he shared.

Our event welcomed so many new (and returning) faces and we loved the opportunity to connect with and get to know everybody through fun, light-hearted ice-breaker activities.

Along with Dr Mohammad Jehangir, we had a number of guest speakers who shared their experiences with Autism, providing knowledge and insights from all different sides of the spectrum.
